Lion Rock Tunnel
Travelling from Kowloon North to East New Territories districts
Serco manages, operates and maintains the Lion Rock Tunnel – one of Hong Kong’s oldest and busiest roadways. The tunnel provides an essential road link in Hong Kong with more than 32.5 million vehicles per year using the Tunnel.
Lion Rock Tunnel connects the transport of Kowloon North with Shatin and east of New Territories.
Approximately 100 Civil servants from the Transport Department were transferred to Serco Group (HK) Limited as part of the company's solution in 1993.
In 1999, several Serco Group (HK) Limited staff achieved certified trainer status by the Institute of Vehicle Recovery UK – a first for a private company in Hong Kong. Since then more staff have been certified.
Lion Rock Tunnel has achieved both ISO9001 and OHSAS18001 in 2004.
