Comprehensive transport information
Serco commenced its Integrated Transport and Information Services (ITIS) contract with the NSW Government on 1 July 2010. Since this time we have transformed the type and quality of service being delivered through the state's transport information service
In preparation for the contract, Serco worked with mdv, a global leader in the development of transport technology solutions, to ensure we could offer commuters in NSW easier access to clear transport information and better customer service
We achieve this by providing:
- Reliable and accurate transport service information for trains, buses and ferries in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan Area (including Newcastle and the Central Coast, Wollongong and the Illawara).
- A trip planner function that allows users to easily determine the most suitable route and transport means for their trip.
- iPhone and android phone apps which, on average, are being downloaded by 30,000 new users each month.
Our staff operate the 131 500 service around the clock, responding to thousands of email enquiries and approximately 1.2 million calls each year. Serco has a five-year contract to provide this service with Transport for NSW.
