Serco Asia Pacific operates immigration facilities in Australia on behalf of the Australian Government, Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC). Under this contract, we are committed to providing a dignified and humane environment in all the facilities we manage for those in our care. Located right across the Australian mainland, in Tasmania and on Christmas Island, the centres are collectively populated by more than 4000 people.
It is of utmost importance to us, that we deliver services in a humane and compassionate way to all people in our care, ensuring their welfare and that they’re treated with respect.
In addition to providing services at the immigration detention facilities and alternative places of detention, Serco has a contract with DIAC for Immigration Residential Housing and Immigration Transit Accommodation.
