Capabilities

Serco is the lead services integrator providing Facilities Management and Support Services for Western Australia’s new Fiona Stanley Hospital at Murdoch. The 783-bed hospital will open in 2014 and will provide tertiary services to people across Western Australia.

Serco will integrate non-clinical services through state-of-the-art technology to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and provide patients with a world-class experience.

Within the overall management and integration, Serco will be responsible for 30 services, including:

  • Hard facilities management services, including energy and utilities, estates and pest control
  • Soft facilities management services, including catering, cleaning and linen Sterilisation
  • ICT services HR, recruitment support, training and education
  • Health technology, including the management of patient electronic health records
  • Procurement, management and maintenance of all hospital assets, including major medical equipment

When fully operational, Serco will directly employ over 1,000 people to provide these extensive services.

Procuring goods and services for FSH

Serco is responsible for procuring all of the goods and services for Fiona Stanley Hospital.

Over the next two years, the Serco team will procure a full range of hospital furniture, fittings and equipment, including medical, imaging and diagnostic equipment.

Serco is looking for a wide range of products and suppliers, particularly those which offer innovation or effectively use emerging technologies that will allow Fiona Stanley Hospital to offer world class health care to its patients.

All suppliers are invited to register an interest in supplying goods and services by completing the Serco “Expressions of Interest” posted on the Tenders WA website. All those suppliers that have already registered on the Tenders WA website are not required to re-register an Interest.

Over the next two years, we will be recruiting for a range of positions across 30 services and there will be more than 1000 people directly employed by Serco when the hospital opens in 2014.
